At Shalaam Care, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients and caregivers. This policy outlines our commitment to ensuring a safe and trustworthy caregiving experience.

Purpose:

This policy aims to:

  • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of our clients
  • Protect the rights and dignity of our clients
  • Foster a culture of trust and respect between clients, caregivers, and Shalaam Care staff
  • Establish clear guidelines and procedures for reporting and addressing safety concerns

Scope:

This policy applies to all Shalaam Care clients, caregivers, and staff.

Principles:

  1. Client-Centered Care: We prioritize our clients’ needs, preferences, and values in all caregiving decisions.
  2. Respect and Dignity: We treat all clients with respect, kindness, and compassion, regardless of their background, culture, or health status.
  3. Confidentiality: We maintain the confidentiality of client information and only share it with authorized personnel or as required by law.
  4. Safety and Security: We ensure that our caregivers are trained to provide safe and secure care, and that our clients’ homes are free from hazards.

Safety Procedures:

  1. Caregiver Screening: We conduct thorough background checks, reference checks, and interviews to ensure that our caregivers are trustworthy and competent.
  2. Caregiver Training: We provide ongoing training and education to our caregivers on safety procedures, emergency response, and client-specific needs.
  3. Client Risk Assessment: We conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  4. Emergency Response Plan: We have a comprehensive emergency response plan in place, which includes procedures for responding to medical emergencies, natural disasters, and other crises.

Trust Principles:

If you have any safety concerns or issues, please report them immediately to:

  • Your caregiver or care manager

Review and Revision:

This policy will be reviewed and revised annually, or as needed. All changes will be communicated to clients, caregivers, and staff.

By using Shalaam Care’s services, clients and caregivers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Safety and Trust Policy.
